I’m Mars. I read, I write and I blog.

I review books here, mainly so I can study the art of writing. I analyze words and characters to help myself become a better writer.

Most of the books I review will be Young Adult and fantasy, though, I will often stray from that and go for something different to spice up both my life and my blog.

The meaning behind my blog name:
A friend once told me that nobody read anymore, that books were a thing of the past. That books may as well have been from Mars.
Well, I’ll gladly read those books from Mars.

I’ve looked in on your site a few times before (and enjoyed your review of both Beastly and Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief), and since I both love and am impatient with Robin McKinley for much the same reason as you–The Blue Sword is perhaps my favorite of her works–I thought you might be interested in my book, Wearing the Cape. As it’s title suggests, it’s a superhero story. It is a borderline-YA novel (officially Action-Adventure according to Amazon.com) available on Kindle or any computer or reader. I would love to see you review it. It’s self-published, only $.99, but if you’re interested I can gift you a copy through your email.

Thanks for the offer, but sadly, I’m going to have to decline. I already have far too many books that I need to get through and hardly have the time to fit another book into my to-read pile.

I’m a first time, self-published author and was wondering if you’d do me the honor of reviewing my book. https://www.facebook.com/From.The.Sea.of.Extol is a link to the FB page and a little more info on the novel. It’s a fantasy based on Adam and Eve, with a twist I believe to be (until now) unexplored. I’d be happy to send you sample chapter or a review copy if you’re interested. Thank you for your time.
